Rev. Fr. Dr. Bala Swamy Pamisetty
Rev. Fr. Dr. Bala Swamy Pamisetty was born on May 1st, 1969. He completed his SSC in St. Paul’s High School at Phirangipuram, excelling in 1984. Then he attended Andhra Loyola College for his Intermediate course, achieving good grades in 1987. Fr. Dr. Bala Swamy graduated with a BA from Osmania University and later earned his master’s degree in Dogmatic Theology from Jnana Deepa Vidyapeet, Pune, Maharashtra, in 2004. His passion for theological studies led him to pursue the Ph.D. in Pastoral Theology in St. Franzens University, Innsbruck, Austria from 2004 to 2009. With his profound academic knowledge, he carried out God’s mission with ease. Fr. Bala Swamy Pamisetty was ordained as a priest on April 5th, 1995.
He served as an Assistant Parish Priest in Kanukamatha Church at Rentachinthala, Guntur, from 1995 to 1997. Afterwards, he served as Rector in St. Paul’s Minor Seminary at Phirangipuram, till 2001. In 2001, he was appointed as Parish Priest in St. Michel’s Church, Pedavadlapudi. From 2009 to 2011, he worked in Germany. Following his successful mission in Germany, he came to India and served as The Regional Executive Director for Kolping Youth Centre in Guntur from 2012 to 2018. Since then, he has served as both Rector and Parish Priest at the Holy Shrine of Infant Jesus Cathedral Church and Carmel Matha Shrine at Phirangipuram until 2024. And also he served as Correspondent of St. Paul’s High School, at Phirangipuram from 2018-2024. He has been working as DGM (Deputy General Manager) or RCM Schools of the Diocese of Guntur Society, Guntur since 2021 onwards.
Now from 1st June, 2024, Rev. Fr. Dr. Bala Swamy Pamisetty has taken a new role as Secretary and Correspondent of Universal College of Engineering and Technology, a notable institution in the vicinity of Guntur.
