RESEARCH AND DEVELOPMENT CELL

 Objective:

The Research and Development Cell stimulates research skills among the faculty and students.

 Functions of the R&D Cell:

• It encourages students to undertake real industrial projects, and also guides the faculty to undertake consultation work.
• Maintains close relationships with professional bodies and promotes the publication of articles in renowned national and international journals.
• It organizes national and international seminars, workshops and conferences on the latest topics, cheering the faculty and students for their participation.
• Evaluate startup ideas, help in their incubation and transform those ideas with commercial feasibility into the production process.

 Scope of the Policy:

This policy covers faculty members of all departments of the college. The scope of the policy envisages, in particular:

• Motivate faculty members to focus on research, in addition to teaching, in order to publish research articles in national and international standard conferences ad journals
• Guiding researchers in securing patents and intellectual property rights for their findings.
• Continue efforts to write books, monographs for publication by renowned national and international publishers.
• Create interest among faculties so that they commit themselves to establishing collaborative research projects with their counterparts in renowned foreign universities.
• Encourage faculty members to submit proposals and ensure research projects funded by various funding agencies.
• Undertake consultancy projects sponsored by public and private bodies and other organizations.
• Encourage creativity in the minds of the faculty, so that they can make original contributions through products, concepts and get patents.
