CIVIL ENGINEERING Environmental Engineering Laboratory This subject includes the list of experiments to be conducted for characterisation of water and municipal sewage. At the end of the course, the student is expected to be aware of the procedure for quantifying quality parameters for water and sewage Hydraulics Engineering Laboratory Student should be able to verify the principles studied in theory by conducting the experiments flow measuring devices in pipes and open channels. Soil mechanics laboratory At the end of this course, the student acquires the capacity to test the soil to assess its Engineering and Index properties. Survery Practical - I/II Laboratory At the end of the course the student will posses knowledge about Survey field techniques To understand the Measurement of horizontal angles by reiteration and repetition and vertical angles To study the Theodolite survey traverse Ti study the Heights and distances - Triangulation - Single plane method Strength of Materials Laboratories The experimental work involved in this laboratory should make the student understand the fundamental modes of loading of the structures and also make measurements of loads, displacements and strains. Relating these quantities, the student should be able to obtain the strength of the material and stiffness properties of structural elements. Computer Aided Building Drawing At the end of this course the student should be able to draft on computer building drawings (Plan, elevation and sectional views) in accordance with development and control rules satisfying orientation and functional requirements List of Hardware and Software Requirements
